Best YouTube Dance Fitness Channels Workout Routines

YouTube is one of my favorite resources for fitness, especially for building an at home workout routine. I’ve written at least five different articles featuring various channels that offer valuable insight, information, and awesome workouts. This article is all about my favorite dance-based workout channels.

I’ve always loved dancing. I took lessons as a young girl and flirted with the idea of being a choreographer. Paula Abdul, Janet Jackson, and The Rockettes were my inspiration. In college, I took several dance classes and loved performing. While I ultimately didn’t pursue dance as a full-fledged career, my love for movement and music never waned. I find myself gravitating toward dancer-inspired workout classes and keep them in my regular fitness routine. Dancing is a great form of fitness that works the entire body. It can get you in shape, reduce stress, and is just an overall way to have a good time.

The following YouTube channels are wonderful resources for anyone who loves dancing or just wants to switch up their workout routine. You do not need to be a dancer to enjoy these workouts. The channels I’ve selected all have wonderful people behind them who make moving easy and fun!

Hip-Hop Fit Cardio Dance—Mike Peele

This channel is my current favorite. I find myself pushing play on a new round almost every day of the week. Mike’s energy is contagious! He is encouraging, inspiring, and so kind. Accompanied by a few friends, he’ll take you through each 8-count several times to make sure you have the moves down. Each round is 30–45 minutes long where you’ll learn a short hip-hop dance routine and work up a sweat. Sometimes he’ll include a fit section where you’ll get to focus on strength-building exercises. His dance workouts are a lot of fun, will bring a smile to your face, and leave you wanting more.

The Studio by Jamie Kinkeade

This channel is a smorgasbord of dance cardio, strength-focused, and inspiring workouts. There’s something for everyone at The Studio! If you’re looking for cardio, try the dance workouts or the killer HIIT sessions. Both will have you moving and grooving to the best music! If you want something to focus on sculpting your muscles, try any of the toning and strength workouts. What sets Jamie and her friends apart from others is their focus on the whole person. With The Studio, it isn’t about getting a perfect body, it’s about moving in a way to stay healthy and feel good about yourself, inside and out.

Shine Dance Fitness

I found this channel a few months ago and fell instantly in love after completing the live one hour class. It was filled with current music and easy to learn choreography. Kendall’s positive energy and smile are infectious! Each song has its own dance and you repeat the steps, allowing you to get comfortable with the choreography and make it your own. There are a few 55 minute workouts available as well as a couple 30 minute express dance workouts on the channel. The majority of the channel is dedicated to learning choreography for a single song, and there are plenty to choose from!

Kyra Pro

I love Kyra’s short dance workouts. She chooses a theme and takes you through a dance and fitness routine that works the entire body. She is always smiling and you just feel good moving along with her. In addition to her version of dance cardio, you can also find stretching routines, strength workouts, and healthy eating inspiration. All levels of fitness can benefit from Kyra’s videos.

The Fitness Marshall

I’ve loved Caleb’s dance workouts for years. He makes dancing so much fun! There are a variety of short dance bursts available set to hit songs. His energy is uplifting and while you dance, you’ll feel sassy, sexy, and cool. Choose a video as a warm up, to get in some afternoon movement, or set a playlist to work up a sweat!

Get Fit With Rick

Bonus! If you aren’t keen on dancing, want a low-impact workout, or just want to increase your step count, look no further than this channel. Rick’s walking workouts are a blast! This isn’t an old-fashioned walking workout. He plays awesome music and gives you fun, easy to follow steps. This is a channel you’ll want to return to again and again!
